Midwest Acrylic Painter Specializing in Wildlife Painting.

About The Artist
I have always taken a strong interest in wildlife which has been my primary source and their habitats, which leads to the inspiration for my paintings. I was born in 1967 and raised in the Midwest. When I was a kid I would explore the local fields and woodlots for hours. I spent many hours in books learning all that I could on what I had seen that day.

I took a strong interest in birds. I began drawing at a young age and would draw many things throughout my young life. For a while I took an interest in Native American portraits. I would pour out hours of sketches and drawings. After graduation I went to work and my art took a backseat for years Oh! I would draw occasionally. It wasn't until after my children left home that I began to get serious about my art again. This time my interest for wildlife would take center stage. I have always drawn pictures with pencil. Now I would explore the world of acrylic paints.
I began my career as an artist in 2015 painting after work daily. It would take me some time to learn color mixing and to see the details hiding in my reference photos. Each year has seen me grow as a painting artist, as an award winning artist, I took great value in my GOD given talent. It is my goal to create pieces that are of interest to wildlife enthusiast and those with an imagination to escape todays hussle and bussle. That is why I created Ole Country Fine Arts.
